The Wednesday before Anzac Day, 2014 the Showcase Choir had the great honour and privilege to sing for the War Widows at their Field of Remembrance Day in St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney. The Choir sang before the Dame
Marie Roslyn Bashir AD, CVO, Governor of NSW, General Gillespie, Lady Cutler, the Archbishop of Sydney, Anthony Fisher, and a number of other dignitaries and guests before stepping outside where the choir took part in the planting of the crosses ceremony with one of the Choir members reciting the famous poem, In Flander's Fields, by John McCrae.
Thank you to the War Widows and their professional photographer for providing most of the photos in this gallery and for the mums who also had their cameras ready and passed on the pics!
This Blog will grow to have many authors
We encourage the budding young writers in our choir to give us reports after events. They will be posted here along with media reports and other interesting info as our story unfolds.
